In 1954, Yvon Michaud and his wife Marie embarked on a journey from Quebec, Canada, to East Hardwick, Vermont, laying the cornerstone of what would become a cherished family legacy. Starting with a modest dairy herd on a picturesque farm by the Lamoille River, they nurtured a family of six while cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit. Their endeavors expanded beyond dairy farming to include maple sugaring, a tradition that endures today and enriches Kingdom Creamery’s product line with signature maple delights.

With the passage of time, the Michaud family farm flourished, welcoming back all three sons armed with agricultural expertise from esteemed institutions like Cornell and SUNY Morrisville. This infusion of talent sparked a period of growth and diversification, marked by strategic acquisitions and infrastructure expansions. Today, the farm boasts a thriving herd of 1,100 dairy cows, overseen by third-generation stewards Jeremy, Travis, and Daniel, supported by their dedicated spouses. As the fourth generation of farmers grows amidst the lush pastures, Kingdom Creamery of Vermont stands as a testament to the family’s unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and tradition. Our state-of-the-art dairy processing facility, situated adjacent to our ancestral farm, ensures that every product bearing our name embodies the freshness and authenticity synonymous with Vermont’s agricultural heritage.
